An Online comic that was shelved in 2014 due to… “reasons” …
Currently reconstituting the site ’cause the old one got “corrupted”.
Also looking for artists to get it running again!
The “gist” of it is a Reaper with 0 confirmed Reaps, his begrudging Mentor, along with a cast of others..
In the Beginning….
Sometime in 2013, from the depths of his sub-contentiousness, cutting through a depressive fog, forcing a smile at the silly thought, Chris Catalano had a thought. It was just a skit, a micro-scene of comical fail, that of a Reaper named “Zee” with Zero confirmed Kills. Quickly followed by what many might have considered delusions of grandeur, Chris decided to test the Scene as a proof of concept to find out if it would be a viable comic to share with the world. The scene was described to a family friend,and artist for rendering.

Venessa also played a crucial role in developing Frank, Zee’s begrudged mentor. Although her work served as a positive Proof of concept, she expressed that her priorities could not afford the time that would be demanded of such an undertaking. Ms. Hudkins has an open invitation to contribute as a guest artist.
Searching for an Artist
Having proven (to himself at least) that the potential was there, the search was on for an artist with talent, time, and a shared vision of what could be.
After several meetings *(some of which proved quite inspiring) with several different artists, it was happenstance that introduced Chris Catalano to Derek Embleton in early 2014.
Working within hectic schedules, weekly brainstorms have turned sketches and concepts for over 20 different characters and allowed for a healthy start to a comic we believe(Read Hope & Pray) will resonate throughout the world.
*One such meeting, was with Dean Skinner, a talented local artist in the Cleveland area, who expressed also not having the time for such a project, but was quick to plant a seed of encouragement and an idea for expansion into another medium. (Thanks Dean!)
The World of Eternal-Z
In the world of Eternal-Z, Reapers (angels of death) act as both initiators of and couriers for Death. Initiation is primarily on an order only basis, as “management” sends down a “Hit” list for collection. There is also a second list delegated for “Pick-up”. “Hits ” are not always sanctioned, pickups are not always practical, nether always gets carried out.
Death as a whole has autonomy (as do other agencies) within *Omega Inc. (God doesn’t micro manage). The Mission of the Reaper Corps. is
“To maximize the effective turn over of the human experience.”
*Omega inc.– is the business of existence itself, at some point one of the Popes convinced God that it would help both organizations if He Incorporated. (I think it’s a Tax thing).
Reapers interact with humans just as often off the job as on, Humanity as a whole just doesn’t see Death(or any single Reaper for that matter) for what it really is, Seeing what they want instead. Only after being Reaped do they fully appreciate the situation,. As demonstrated by a select few characters, it is rare indeed that a person sees objectively what is in front of them.
As Strange As Reality
Eternal-Z, by design, draws many parallels between its world and several from reality(Sales, Corporate life, Relationships in life, to name a few). Its purpose is to simultaneously entertain, and Inspire a questioning of life’s presented status quo. Our deepest hope is that we can candidly awaken our readers to a more inspired and fulfilling life experience.
